Contest for the Stuttgart Opera

The project of the State Theater of Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart offers a unique opportunity to rethink the way we plan and build. Taking advantage of the need to create a complex structure within a limited time, the ephemeral nature is explored and materialized in modular architecture, largely reusable and recyclable through wood as the main material. An opera as a manifesto and as a model for an immensely reduced carbon footprint.
