The rehabilitation project of the Cirviànum Theatre aims to improve the space, functionality, and accessibility of the venue.
The concrete slab is treated with light glazes to soften its presence while preserving its characteristic structure. At the same time, the brightness and welcoming atmosphere of the lobby are enhanced. An elevator is incorporated to connect the lobby with the Main Hall and the Agora, creating a versatile and accessible space. The renovation of the Main Hall improves audience visibility and comfort with new concentric seating tiers and the implementation of a more efficient climate control system. Acoustics are optimized using a “box-in-a-box” system, isolating vibrations and enhancing chromatic harmony with natural wood.
The Agora, Foyer, and lobby offer flexible spaces for informal events and exhibitions. The large concrete slab, whitened and softened, integrates all these spaces, creating a more functional and inviting environment for artistic and theatrical activities.
